Planned Giving

The Impact of Legacy Gifts

Legacy gifts have a remarkable impact on our work to promote healthier and more robust communities, including:

  • Assisting families and individuals experiencing poverty and homelessness
  • Providing families and individuals with crucial tools and resources to achieve greater levels of self-sufficiency and long-term stability
  • Developing and building livable communities for families vulnerable to homelessness throughout East Portland and East Multnomah County

Planned Giving Is for Everyone

You don’t have to be a millionaire to make a difference in your community. Regardless of the amount, your bequest is a statement of your shared commitment to helping our community thrive, especially low-income families and people experiencing homelessness.

Putting Your Gift to Work

Our Just Future is dedicated to being a trustworthy steward of your gift. Our board of directors encourages those planning their estates to designate their gifts to Our Just Future. There are many ways to leave a gift, but the most common is through a will. You can set aside a certain dollar amount or a percentage of your estate. Some people leave a life insurance policy or investments.

Unless otherwise directed by you, legacy gifts will be used toward the greatest need in the fiscal year they are received.

As an option, you may wish to designate a restricted gift to benefit a specific program of our organization. We appreciate receiving information from donors regarding the desired specific purpose of any planned gift so that we may ensure that your philanthropic vision for your legacy can be implemented. Our Just Future’s staff is available to discuss specific opportunities for giving and to assist you and your advisors with designation options.
