Join us for our quarterly virtual open house for current and prospective volunteers! Whether you’re already pitching in or excited to learn more about the ways you can engage with our work in East Portland and wider East Multnomah County, we want to see you there!
Log in Thursday, May 19, at 7 p.m. to chat all things volunteering, including opportunities over the next few months. We especially need individuals and groups to make meals for our three shelters – volunteering designed with pandemic safety in mind!
You’ll also meet our team, connect with each other, learn about Human Solutions and our approach to trauma-informed care, and have the chance to win Mia Birdsong’s inspiring book How We Show Up: Reclaiming Family, Friendship, and Community. The community’s response to the pandemic has been strong, so we have a host of folks newly helping with crucial tasks like driving to collect and deliver donations, making meals for shelter residents, hosting donation drives and more.
