Cooler weather is coming, and we’re preparing! Folks living in our emergency shelters often arrive with few belongings, and most lack warm gear for the rain and cold. More than 200 people call our shelters home, and they all need coats! Can you help us by donating new and like-new coats?

Have like-new coats you want to pass along? We’ll gladly take them. Here’s how to donate like-new coats:

  1. Check for any holes or other damage. When we say “like new” we really mean it – people experiencing homelessness deserve the best.
  2. Run coats through the wash. We don’t have a wash facility nor the staff to handle washing donated clothes, so this is crucial.
  3. Contact us at volunteer@ourjustfuture.org (or reply to this email), and we’ll send you a confidential location to drop off in East Portland or Gresham.
